Maybe not for you fat yanks it isn't a problem because you can easily access the resources you need (like fries and cheeseburgers). Unless you hadn't noticed there are millions of people starving in africa, people in poverty in overpopulated slums in china, india and brazil etc. Overpopulation is definitely a problem and frankly if you can't see it you must be blind as a fucking bat.

Having... sever... trouble... caring.

Don't blame the crimes of poverty on overpopulation. That will get you nowhere with me.

I don't see the planet as overpopulated, even. There's a population of 7 billion humans. So?

RE: Overpopulation
And those UN attempts to predict the future get about as much credence from me as the guy with the crystal ball. They obviously have their methods, and I could easily accept that givin the conditions remain the same their predictions could pan out, but why would we assume conditions would remain the same when there's so damned much room for improvement sitting out so obviously?

(and then there are the less than palatable options of culling all the resource users that we can that aren't human, which I'd go all in for in a heartbeat if I was the guy making the choice)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You mean they ain't going to get the food sitting right next to them whilst their governments deny them said food. It's one of those problems with throwing money (and in this case: food) at the problem Smile

Never apologize for acts committed by others. It allows them to slide away without blame and associates you with their team simultaneously.

I don't need to get anywhere with you: you're french Wink

And I've read plenty. Perhaps that's why I just don't care about someone dying in a country far far away. Smile

Problem with that idea is that all the intelligent ones who think overpopulation's a problem that kill themselves, we'd be left with idiots. Mankind is still fucked. Be like leaving creationists to run everything.

It's the intelligent few that rule and run everything.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Fixed that for you Smile I really don't know how you made that mistake, but it was a pretty nasty spelling error. Heart Wink
