Only if you don't want to appear to be a grrrrringo.  Hehe I studied Spanish for three years, many decades ago. When I worked as a mechanic, one of the guys was from Peru. I got to refresh my Spanish by talking to him. He went back to Peru not long after I graduated from uni...in '83. Just practice it, you'll get it down.  Think

That Mark Twain lived in San Francisco.

I figured since his most famous book was about the south that that was where he lived.

He was born in Florida, Missouri. He lived a LOT of places - California, Nevada, New York, England, Italy, etc. He died in Connecticut.
