Perseverance Lander minutes away from Mars.

For the nerds out there, how long does it take a video feed to get from Mars to earth?

3.03 minutes to 22.4 minutes. Currently ~11.4 minutes.
Therefore, a light shining from the surface of Mars would take the following amount of time to reach Earth (or vice versa): Closest possible approach: 182 seconds, or 3.03 minutes. Closest recorded approach: 187 seconds, or 3.11 minutes. Farthest approach: 1,342 seconds, or 22.4 minutes.Nov 14, 2017 How Long Does It Take to Get to Mars? | Space https://www.space.com/24701-how-long-doe...%20minutes Closest possible approach: 182 seconds, or 3.03 minutes Closest recorded approach: 187 seconds, or 3.11 minutes Farthest approach: 1,342 seconds, or 22.4 minutes On average: 751 seconds, or just over 12.5 minutes (February 18, 2021 at 4:01 pm)Gawdzilla Sama Wrote: 3.03 minutes WOW! That is f-ing fast. I was just watching the news and they were saying Mars has a 40 minute longer day than earth. I find it amazing that they have to work out all that math to time everything down to the second to land that thing. They were reporting too, that the mission will have it land in an ancient riverbed in an attempt to try to find signs of prior life.
Check my edit.

That would be the first time a human made vehicle left Mars to come back. Certainly based on the moon landing principles/without humans of course. But gonna take a hell of a lot more power and fuel to break the gravity of Mars. I am simply always amazed at how science figures out how to do these things.
It landed, nice!
TOUCHDOWN NASA!
A-fucking-men.
