teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

(Fundamentalist Methodists, basically, for anyone who doesn't know.) Interestingly, when you google " How is Wesleyan different than Baptist?" the top of the Google page reads: Quote:Wesleyans are mostly Arminians, and are this unsaved. They reject salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ and they believe that salvation can be lost through sin. Wesleyans are unsaved and are on their way to Hell. Baptists are the closest to true Christianity. Lul! Nice answer, Google.
