Ok computer techs, what say you?

Even if you knew your passwords, you couldn't get back onto facebook. Why? Because - Facebook. Is. Down. This means the website isn't working. You cannot get onto Facebook, full stop. When Facebook starts working again, you can request a new password., but - for now - FACEBOOK. IS. DOWN.

And it's 'cache', not 'chash'.

Not talking about just facebook now. Depending on settings, if you erase your history and cookies and cache memory, it doesn't keep your passwords. And since I did just that, I cant remember all my passwords. I just happened to remember the password for this website. But even if FB comes on line in two minutes, just like twitter I'll be fucking with that forever.

I panicked and thought it was on my end. And when you reboot and clear your memory, when it is on your end, things clear up. But even when things clear up, even on your own end, it does not help when you don't remember your passwords.

When Facebook, Twitter - whatever - is up and running again, when you try to log in, you’ll see something like ‘Forgot Password?’. Click on it. It’ll take about a minute or two to change your password. Once you do, write it down.

I care so little I almost passed out. I’m sure it’s a great relief to 37, though.

I managed to remember my FB password, now that it is back up. But Twitter is being a bitch, and just found out that someone else is using my same handle on Twitter.

Yes I did click on "forgot password". And the codes it sent me still would not let me reset my password.

I know that, I have used it before.  Pain in the ass back then, but still a pain in the ass today.

It was all me this time. I simply did not treat the disruption like I have with my local cable outages before. I thought I got hacked. I cleared all my computer memory for no fucking reason, just like when I panic when I am late on a bill. If I had not panicked, and done nothing, and waited, like I have for hurricanes and outages, I would have full access to all the websites I frequent.

Believe me, I have tried 4 times since this happened to reset my Password for Twitter, but it keeps sending me on a loop.

RE: Ok computer techs, what say you?
Okay 37 - you obviously save your passwords on your computer. With your browser open click the three buttons on the top right. Go to settings then to profiles, then passwords. You will see a list of websites that you have saved your password for. Find the website name and it will list your user name for that site. Then will be your password but it will be a series of dots. Next to that is a little symbol that looks like an eye, click on that and it will ask for your computer passcode. Once you enter that code it will show you the last password you saved for that site and user name.

It's probable that other browsers use words a little different from that but it's basically the same steps to find out you password. That is if you said to save it when the popup came up that asked if you want to save it.
