Got on facebook after a while and out of nowhere I get a message from my mother with a response to my Atheism:
STOP ADVERTISING YOUR BELIEFS! YOU ARE WORSE THAN A CHRISTIAN! OH, YEAH...SINCE YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD YOU JUST LOST YOUR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS! I DON'T GIVE TO NONBELIEVERS!!!!!
GOOD BYE
My response (still working on it): Blasphemy is only blasphemy to its believers. Seeing Christian symbolism could be very offensive to anyone that is not acquainted to your specific religion. Maybe you should a little research on the history of your so called "Christmas", and figure out exactly where you all stole it from. It was originally a Pagan holiday that celebrated Saturnalia, which was in worship of the god Saturn. There was also another celebration around this time of the year in the ancient Roman Empire. Mithraism worshiped a Sun deity (Mithras), and his key celebration was on December 25th, an observance called the "Nativity."
I couldn't care less if you want to play the game of cat and mouse over a present, but if you want to act like a child and try to get your "revenge" on non-believers (Atheists) then go ahead. It just shows the immaturity of your actions as a respectable person.
Now since it is that time of the season, then how about you take a step back and actually take a look on your worshiping of god overall. What do you do to worship your god, in any manner or form that could represent you actually being a "Die-hard Christian". If you believe that he died for your "sins", the least YOU could do is worship him like the "almighty" Christian lady that you are.
Now onto your little complaint about me choosing to be Christian, I have never ONCE chose to be Christian in my entire life, other than when you took me as a child to play the role as baby skydaddy. You do nothing that represents your worship to your god to elicit that you are a worshiping Christian devoted to serving your self-loving lord. It's actually situational irony because YOU choose to be Christian only on holidays, not me. Is there a problem with me celebrating the winter Solstice? I think not, the only difference is that I'm not worshiping your god. I couldn't care less if you actually decide not to give me a gift simply because I exercise my freedom from religion. No matter what your religion is or lack thereof, I wouldn't discriminate over your beliefs and act like a immature because of your freedom of religion.

Religion is like a Penis, you shouldn't whip it out in public and you shouldn't shove it down your child's throat.
