Honestly, it's mostly just Alison and finding shit online to distract me for me. Maybe reading some Schopenhauer. Like I said, my nature is very solitary. I suspect that a combination of my being on the autism spectrum, having LOADS of shitty experiences when I was being socialised as a child, and growing up in an era where people can easily find entertainment and/or information with a few strokes of a keyboard made me this way.

Fair enough. I'm glad you've found a cure for the loneliness.

From what I have read on here, you have an infinite number of things that you do both alone and with your dad.  Your days seem to be quite full with interesting hobbies and trips and concert-going.  I would imagine that you are often too occupied to even think about being lonely.

True. If there’s nothing else going on, I always find something to occupy my time with.

If you’ve ever read The Phantom Tollbooth, it starts with a boy sitting alone in his room not knowing what to do with himself, and then after going on the big adventure that takes up most of the book, this happens:
