What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
My town has only one people (man) statue but it has 88 koala statues.

I don't know why, maybe they have mystical powers or something.

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Do the Elgin Marbles count? Are they even in London?

Some of them count (not all of the marbles are statues), and they’re all in London.

Alpha-Gal syndrome is an allergy to a sugar specific to mammalian meat sources (beef/pork/sheep/deer.....), the symptoms develop hours after ingestion. The initial exposure and spread in the US is primarily by the lone star tick.

Learn something new everyday. I always thought this was what was meant by 'Alpha-Gal':

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
