I am dating someone, and we hope to be married this year. I do agree with you Parents should have unconditional love toward all their children no matter their choice.

The issue there was never about the children themselves, but of other bad actors who don't love the children telling them Liberal Woke Un-Scientific stuff like "Gender is a Choice", and/or that it ought to be changed even without parental consent, and other such ideas.

People who don't love their children withhold love, beat them, emotionally destroy them, neglect them, abandon them, and hurt them in many, many ways.  Allowing the child to be true to themself isn't a sign of lack of love.

I also have four grandchildren who, like their parents, were taught to be decent people.  It's really simple.

But then some mysterious, mystical, guy in the sky doesn't give us rules.

We aren't ancient goat-herders.

JJ, you're constantly surprising and entertaining.

Tell us, what do you think about DeSantis treatment of migrants?

I can tell this is going to be entertaining as long as this lasts. I do not think the original poster even knows what they are talking about. Quite a shame. No matter what this person says, DeSantis is still nothing but a bad guy.

ATWT, good to know. As for: "Allowing the child to be true to themself isn't a sign of lack of love.", can we agree a child should come to the age of 18 and become an adult before they make any life-altering decision like sex-change surgeries?

Brewer, thanks for the kind words. God bless you. As for migrants, I think illegal immigration is wrong, and harms any nation, but legal, and meritorious immigration is good, and should be no problem. I probably disagree with some conservatives on that, as I think those who've emigrated legally, and committed no violent crime of any kind, should be granted amnesty. But illegal migration, especially with fentanyl deaths etc, are obviously another issue.

What are your thoughts on the same, Brewer? God Bless.

I know very well, and have known virtually my whole life, that my own gender is atypical (very close to the midpoint of female and male).  I don't perceive it as fluid, though, and not a choice that I made.  What cultures need is acceptance of natural variation rather than binary gender roles that force people into situations they utterly abhor.

Ok, Astreja. I accept what you say about your own experience. But natural variation is one thing. Telling children they ought to change their naturally assigned gender is another. I am of the view such discussions should take place at least after the child has become an adult at 18. Do you disagree?

Who are the Dems going to run anyway? Biden, Newsom or Harris?

They might have wanted to run Newsom, but not after that crushing defeat he had with the Poop Map and all! Sad, really, what California became.
