Way to go! Telling a bunch of skeptics they are wrong.ROFLOL

In my opinion, personal certitude at any time is foolish, but in matters metaphysical it's downright stupid.

I find your new age drivel and your entire attitude ignorant, arrogant and annoying. Understandable I guess, coming from somebody who seems to have derived their world view from watching Oprah.

Bored now.

PS: 45? That IS young.

Ellease1,

I wonder how well it would have worked for you, before you left your mind behind, to have people telling you what you are spewing here? Wouldn't you have considered anyone who comes off the way you do to be condescending and presumptuous? Do you really expect people to set aside their own understanding, feeble though it may seem to you, and embrace your own on your say so? Your concept of "other people" is pretty limited. Your approach to interpersonal relationship here on this forum has been strictly "I-It", which says more about your development in this aspect of life than it does the lofty heights of your self proclaimed enlightenment.

You sound rather manic. If you've gone off your meds you should know nothing good can come of that. It may be loads of fun but, well, you are behaving badly.

RE: Ignosticism
Actually Kichigaineko there are no accusations of ignorance, I’m simply stating facts. Now if one would like to ban me for such so be it. I came here being as it’s an atheist forum I thought there would be some authentic views, instead I seemed to have stumbled across some of the biggest egos online.

Kichigaineko, you seem to have an ego larger than life, I notice you have a five star rating and 3529 posts to your namesake naturally this has gone to your small mind. And it is a small mind since you are easily offended. Whether or not as the case maybe you are enlightened again makes no difference to me. They’re so many connotations attached to enlightenment these days it makes you wonder whether it is worth becoming enlightened at all, one might be better off transcending the whole shebang and going beyond. And who cares what people believe in? Certainly not me, I simply enjoy stating facts.

And like I said before if this offends then you have a problem. Don’t be a coward by projecting your nonsense on visitors of the forum simply because they take an individual stance. Just because you are nice and comfortable in your intellectual zone of normalcy it doesn’t mean everyone else will be.

And what’s with the Wiki paste? Such a typical move for such an egoist, but still, it comes as no surprise. In order for the mind to defend itself it has to borrow knowledge. What are you trying to prove? I have no interest in intellectual philosophizing. Philosophers only think about the truth they never know it. Simply because they go round in circles mulling over the same rubbish and Its the same with theology, you will find yourself discussing the same crap that has been pedaled for centuries such as how many angels can dance on a pin head, hardly edifying, and what stupidity but this is philosophizing for you. And you are free to go down this path everybody eventually does it is part of the learning curve, sadly though some people never seem to find their way out of it.

An you talk about my infantile learning, at least I have the courage to step out of the box, and present something substantial as an individual which is more than can be said for your crowd mentality (rowing the atheist/theist boat).

And yes Aleialoura I am bat shit crazy and this is the paradox, to be seen as sane in this world you have to be bat shit crazy. Of course you can be sociable and fall in with the mob and categorize yourself into little pigeonhole cultures, but then you will only be seen as a social Muppet

But seriously Kichigaineko maybe if you dropped your personality since it is only a social phenomenon and is always in reference to the other. You might then be able to move into individuality.

You are too tied up in language, move beyond it and if you can you will find that understanding the ego becomes its necessary corollary.

Until then you will always be fooling yourself about enlightenment since you will not fool anybody else apart from other like minded so called enlightened ones.

Honestly, you gave me such giggles when you proclaimed your enlightenment. By whose authority? Please, any good Zen master would have kicked seven bells out of you for being big shit arrogant. And if you are enlightened what the hell are you doing on a forum discussing irrelevant nonsense? Again seven bells for you.
The strength of your ego would take several masters a number of years to purge an even then it may be a lost cause, since you are already enlightened.

“In my opinion, personal certitude at any time is foolish, but in matters metaphysical it’s downright stupid’.

O dear, Padraic. You are supposed to be defending you fellow enlightened ones not stupefying them, still I’m glad you agree. Perhaps you should give a personal shout out to Kichigaineko.

Whateverist, you concern yourself too much with the past. I have no concerns with the past since it has no place in the here and now. And I don’t expect any one to set aside their understanding, it’s simply the way I tick. If people talk rubbish then I will respond accordingly. On a deeper level people are pretty much the same, they may hold different views and have different perspectives but their psychology at the subconscious level remains the same. It is just like your center and mine and everybody else’s it is the same. If you drop a pebble in water all concentric circles share that same center, all people emanate from the same center, it is only through mind that differentiation become apparent. And I don’t claim enlightenment, just a knowing. be an individual, then you will not find me so condescending and presumptuous.

What? YOU are the one making truth statements. What is that if not claiming enlightenment?

You are still preaching and I think you may be a troll. I have reported your post for both. I hope others do the same.Angry

Oooohaha! This forums beginning to sound like the christian ones. They didn't like truth, and a truth statement is simply that, what has enlightenment have to do with it? Not making any claims just using my eyes to perceive the reality, but feel free to report me. I don't expect anything less from these close nit social forums.
Still at least I got a laugh out of it, why are you lot so serious? There is nothing in life that warrants such a serious conviction, you are never going to know wether or not there is a God so the very fact renders it non-essential. It's idiotic if you ask me.

Do I detect an attitude? This from the gal that proclaimed: "I have no views, views are basically attitudes, I have no attitude towards life I simple accept what is." I guess it depends on who is passing the judgment or copping the attitude. So prickly! Does some one need a hug?

Someone tell me they have been harvesting these posts for the Hall of Shame.

Face is fact and truth is linen. If you have linen, you have truth and thus save face. Keep this wisdom in a special box for the seven eternities. Intellect smells like roses and so will your wisdom/truth linen when you get to the top of the stairs. I do not meant to be insulting, but fruit cake is in the dictionary and egos are mind snacks.

Why serious? Why not just consume words, half-digest them and then vomit them out like alphabet cereal where it is cold and knit has no k? A truth statement is like a pregnancy test -- it is only ever as smart as urine. Report me to the authorities! I just ate a dictionary.

Oh Dear...here we go again peeps...looks like it's my turn .

So Elle you don't think forum rules apply to you?? Ok, lets see if I can't make some sense of your gibberish.

Facts?? Then WHERE is your evidence??

(December 28, 2011 at 6:21 pm)Ellease1 Wrote: Now if one would like to ban me for such so be it.

You are preaching and this is a ban-able offence on these forums.... I see we go straight to special pleading.

If you would like to harbour that view no one here will stop you ...but do close the door on your way out...no one is making you stay if we are soooo bad.

Yep my mind must be small...I don't pay any attention to star ratings or the number of posts I make. For me this forum is a community of very intelligent, thoughtful individuals and you missed out the bit that I have been here communicating and learning for a number of years.

I take a 7 and a half.

tu quoque... fits in here does it padraic??

Clearly it bothers you. You haven't asked me MY definition of enlightened

Wonderful!! If you think suicide is the answer no one here will stop YOU.

AGAIN!! citations needed...where is the evidence for your claims??

Who said I was offended??
I have my opinions about you based on what you have posted thus far... that is all

(December 28, 2011 at 6:21 pm)Ellease1 Wrote: Don’t be a coward by projecting your nonsense on visitors of the forum simply because they take an individual stance.

You are not a visitor dearie ...you are a junior member. You are making claims and trying to market your opinions as FACTS sans any credible evidence. You must not be very welcome where ever you go if this is how you behave as a guest/ visitor.

(December 28, 2011 at 6:21 pm)Ellease1 Wrote: Just because you are nice and comfortable in your intellectual zone of normalcy it doesn’t mean everyone else will be.

Ahh I think you are after a philosophy/ humanist forum not an atheistic one...as I have been saying..... one MUST cite WHERE you get you information from wiki is just convenient

Yes please, please, ban me. There is only so much mediocre I can stomach. Still I've learnt something here. Up until now I didn't realise muppets could be enlightened. O well you learn something new every day, still, I consider this a lucky discovery since I've stumbled upon a shed load. You lot could do with pulling your heads out of your arse holes, who know, you may have a different perspective on enlightenment once you see the light. But first you must clear the shit from your eyes.
