Fresh from the garden cucumber, cherry tomato, and basil salad with a drizzle of olive oil and some pickled serrano slices.
Are your mouths getting watery? 😂

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Sous vide steelhead trout with dill seasoning and green beans. The trout fillet was a lot more delicate than a salmon fillet. My flipping technique could use some work. I've got a Miu fish spatula on the way. That might help.

Marinated chicken breasts cooked in the air fryer....going to take some tweaking on that. Tasted good but a little drier than I would have liked. Also had pasta salad. A simple but good meal.

Went to the nearest Crumbl. The things you need to know about Crumbl before I explain:
1) They have hundreds of different flavors of cookies. 2) For logistical purposes, they cycle through six of those flavors (plus the perennial chocolate chip*) every week. 3) That week ends when the stores close on Saturday (read: right about now.) So, I decided, with 30 minutes until closing, to go to the nearest one. Fortunately, the nearest was a mile away. I ordered a Nilla Bean Cupcake cookie and a chocolate chip. ![]() Verdict: absolutely worth the random nighttime drive. Only problem I had was that the frosting on the NBCC was a bit gooier than I expected, but that’s just a “my expectation” problem. Correcting for that, it was still great. * that said, they still cycle every week between semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips. This week was the milk chocolate.
