I know it's still a little early, but I think we might make it without a hurricane this year.

Tropical Storm Simon is expected to be a cat 2-3 hurricane when it reaches us, we're in the center of the current error cone. Saturday/Sunday may be dicey. A lot can happen between now and then, and if it follows the predicted track, we're somewhat protected by Cabo Corriente to the south.

It's got poor eyesight.

What I presume to be the first bands of rain from hurricane Simon have arrived. We're predicted to get 15-30cm of rain by Sunday and its predicted to spin up to category 4 before landfall. The good news (for us) is that it's now predicted to make landfall farther south of here which should rob it of energy before we get the worst of it in about 24-36 hours.

No cold front came through. It was just rain the past few days. Dry and hot AF today.

More rain today, now it's just cloudy. Beaches are all closed, the port is closed to small craft. It's eerie.
