I imagine most of the bugs relate to plugins.

I could disable a bunch of plugins in the mean time but it would be better to figure out what is causing issues and fix the plugins instead.

You are either more generous than me or more emotionally attached to the idea of American exceptionalism than I am. I served in the military as you did but I was never very patriotic. My allegiance has always been to the human species as a whole and I've even struggled with that in the Trump era. For much of my life, I didn't find that to be in too much conflict with the idea of American exceptionalism. This country has done much to advance humanity as a whole. Elon Musk (dickhead that he is) said that he came to the US because great things are done here. He was right.

Unfortunately, this is also the land where blacks were enslaved, Japanese citizens were put in internment camps and millions of citizens presently go without health care.

I could never put an American flag on my porch. It hasn't been earned in my eyes.
