A wooden base holds the alarm clock, kettle tilter and methylated spirit stove. Although ingenious, the heavy reliance on the match being lit at the correct time made the machine potentially dangerous. Made by the Automatic Water Boiler Co.

Movies like The league of extraordinary gentlemen etc.

And this in my view is the ultimate steampunk because it actually works and probably would've been developed if not for the petrol engine.

If you like steampunk-esque movies you might like The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello if you haven't already seen it. It's not very long at about 30 minutes and I'd highly recommend it.
