I've heard theists make more ridiculous statements than that in all seriousness, I had to check you understand?
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

ThinkingI'm sorry did i invade your Thread with this "sense of superiority?" Or is that what you are doing in mine?

Quote: Look, I get it. Your sense of completeness through religion makes you want to share that with everyone, but when you just show up and say, "Ask me questions," it comes off as more than a little condescending.
Are you looking for an apology because you perceive genuine humility as a threat to you or you way of life somehow? Then know I am truly sorry that you have taken my efforts in the wrong way.

The name 'Uriah Heep' just popped into my head, I don't know why.Angel Cloud

For those who have not read ' David Copperfield'

Quote:Uriah Heep is a fictional character created by Charles Dickens in his novel David Copperfield.
The character is notable for his cloying humility, obsequiousness, and insincerity, making frequent references to his own "'humbleness".

No apology necessary. I was just trying to point out that your approach could be perceived in a negative manner. Perhaps I am a bit touchy towards the subject of religion right now as I get that way during the American political cycle.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I honestly don't know. But Christ just before He left told us "In my father's house their are many mansions, and I go prepare a place for you." Maybe those are one billions of trillions of known stars are some of those mansions He was talking about.

-or-

Because the universe is infinite and we will have an infinite amount of time, maybe we get to explore everything out there. If so, and we get star ships I call dibs on the name Enterprise for mine!!

-or- It's like you think there could be other life out there who knows.

"If one wishes to form a true estimate of the full grandeur of religion, one must keep in mind what it undertakes to do for men. It gives them information about the source and origin of the universe, it assures them of protection and final happiness amid the changing vicissitudes of life, and it guides their thoughts and motions by means of precepts which are backed by the whole force of its authority."
