That wasn't the entirety of my argument. Besides, I use my computer for work. I have entirely different PC needs and they are pretty basic. Furthermore, I can't hook up my computer to my television and play Rock Band with my friends.

My issue is a combination.

1st I have to worry about my PC going mental for no apparent reason and stopping me installing.

2nd When I finally do have everything installed it has a panic attack because I'm actually having fun for once and stops working with no explanation.

3rd If my pc dies I have nothing to do. Sad

4th Despite the reputation my Xbox ran fine for years. The only reason I replaced it for a newer model is because I needed more memory and a controller and got a pretty good deal Big Grin

I just like to get home and throw a disc in and play. None of the random crap that my PC seems to get up to. Might just be me that has these problems but hell you can't call a PC a SmexBox without sounding like a pervert.

I was waiting for someone to make this point, bravo. This is the only real reason to have a console, for entertainment while friends are over. Unless you have super nerdy friends, LAN parties don't really happen.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just saying. You can't compare the two, one is nearing 7 years old. I mean... that's fucking old.

PC's are the OG Sex Boxes.

New graphics are no replacement for fantastic games. MoO's still my favorite, with graphics from 1993. Had I a tv, I would still be using my PS2.

Still think the dumbest thing Sony did with the PS3 was to remove backwards compatibility.

It's not the only reason. Not everyone can handle a gaming PC. XBox is far more user friendly.

And it still works great for those of us who aren't fanatical. That is saying something.

You can't make the graphics argument about a vintage game. New games should look good, because they can. That's all I'm saying. I mean Xbox will get the same titles as PC, same gameplay and great story, but shit graphics.

In the technology world, 7 years ago is ancient. I mean, Dual-Core processors where the new thing back then and having 2GB of RAM was extreme.
I notice how all the console fans are receiving kudos... conspiracy.
