I appreciate your comments thusfar but I would ask you how Gods omnipotence would have any bearing on one losing their faith.

Maybe not, but if God wants people to keep their faith, stay saved and be Christians, if what God wants is right and if he has the power to do what he wants, why wouldn't he give people the motivation required for that?
