Banning guns because someone went psycho is like banning automobiles because a drunk driver killed either themself or another person.

Yep I was going to pretty much add the same thing as Penn, which is that mass shootings and deaths by assault weapons is very low anyway, and even if you do take away automatic and semiautomatic weapons, massacres will still take place using bolt-action rifles, shotguns and handguns. The public shouldn't have automatic or semiautomatic assault rifles, and taking them away is a step in the right direction, but the entire gun-culture in America needs to be addressed.

Then perhaps you'd like to explain why each year in the USA 80-90 people die in hunting accidents? Surely if all the hunters were using their guns correctly and responsibly there would be 0 hunting deaths, correct?
