That's exactly my point. It is all written there in the Good Book.
I don't remember seeing any of that in LOTR.
Oh..... you mean the bible?
Sorry, total load of unverifiable bollocks.
If it was the word of god how did he fail to spot that bats are mammals and not birds.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

That's exactly our point. It's all written there in the Good Book - and nowhere else. As long as that book remains unopened your god remains trapped in the story. Just like every fictional character, in fact.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Has anyone pointed out the bible says the earth doesn't move and the sun moves round the earth yet?
Psalm 104:5 - "He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved"
Ecclesiastes 1:5 - "The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises"

The earth doesn't spin. If it did, we'd go flying off and smack our head on the firmament dome that holds back the waters. Unless of course god had a rain window open and we hit that. But then we'd drown of course.

I have seen some of you trying hard to prove His existence to others when deep in your heart you know God exists. Do you try to prove to others that the Sun/moon/stars exists? I guess no. So why are you trying to prove that existence of God which already has proof of existence?
Peter 3:15 reads: "...but in your hearts honour Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defence to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect..."
This is why Christians on this forum defend their faith (or try to... miserably). You, my friend, by refusing to justify your beliefs, are not honouring Jesus, or so this verse tells us.
Most awesome response. Respect.

Psalm 92:10... But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn:
Job 39:9 "... Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? ...
Job 39:10 ... Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
Numbers 24:8 "... God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn:
Numbers 23:22 ... God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. ...
Psalm 29:6 ... He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. ...
Dang me, just as I thought I was getting the hang of reading The Bible, he tells us it isn't true after all.

You guys are taking it out of context. Very poor way of interpreting the messages in the Good Book. But on the bright aside, you are taking time to read the Bible, which is a good thing.

I know right, its hilarious! I like the bit where god tries to hook Adam up with an animal. Then he gives up and finally makes a women.
