Wearing a crucifix

This hanging of crosses above doors, I've noticed that in quite a few houses. I am pretty sure that if a case study was made, that crosses above doors are more detrimental than beneficial because when doors slam closed crosses fall on heads and/or limbs, damage floors, etc. while houses without crosses above doors ward of the exact same amount of evil.

Just a thought.

I don't wear jewelry because natural selection has clearly demonstrated that if we were supposed to wear jewelry we would have evolved it.

I have no evidence that jewelry is beneficial, and until we can prove it with the scientific method I will refuse to wear jewelry.

Also, I have unequivocal evidence that I still live in my mom's basement.

I'm interested in jewelry but I don't wear any nor do I want to. Just as I'm interested in religion but I'm not religious myself.
Oh and lol at FaithvsEvidence, funny guy! Whoever he is. Or if indeed he is a 'he'. Could be a she.
Oh and btw FaithvsEvidence. I think it would look better if the 'v' in your name was a capital, like mine Tongue
But I guess its a matter of taste in that case:p

This made me chucke Leo.

My father has a crucifix on one of his walls and it is not to 'ward of evil' but rather to focus thoughts on Christ. He was a Jesuit brother briefly (thank goodness it was brief or I might not have been born) so still retains some Catholic practices. I remember when I was about 14 and wore my CND badge proudly. I also wore a badge with a beautiful picture of the Queen Mother when it was her 80th birthday. Many 'older' people would sweetly gaze at her picture until they saw the words '80 years...a scrounger'. I think us humans like to display things that make a statement about important things to us. Crosses are part of that. Big Grin

CR, If I were you I wouldn't own up to ever wearing a badge bearing the picture of " good old queen mum " . She was a nasty piece of work!
HuhA man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?
