You'd think it would be your choice to at least delete your profile but deleting your posts could make threads incoherent .. not that I expect anyone to be studying our 'product' years from now. What he can do is go in and erase any personal info from his profile. Any posts he's written aren't his anymore.

Good point. Makes sense to me.

We were deemed unworthy of his company... And no absolute fuck was given that day.

I've never "got" why people need to delete their accounts - smacks of attention seeking to me.

I've been through many various forums over the last 12/13 years, most I've moved on from, never have I asked to have my account deleted.

Though I've had a couple of accounts involuntarily "deleted" if you know what I mean.

Probably related to an over-developed sense of shame, honor, and that illusive Asian concept of "face." All of which, religious people appear more tuned into than the non-religious.

The concept of face saving is inherent in all asians raised in asian cultures, religious or not, and today, living in a western culture, i am unable to do anything that would cause me to "lose face", despite the fact that no one around me would even understand. Which defeats the purpose of saving face. But you see, it's just so unthinkable to "lose face", that I will not risk doing anything of that sort because you never know when an asian is watching you.

For people who were not raised this way, think of "face" as honour, only 1000x more serious, and 1000x more ridiculous.
