Welcome.
Hello my brother from another mother, glad you didn't wander for forty years in the wilderness.

“I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's." - Mark Twain in Eruption
Psh, now you guys all decide to jump onto the bandwagon.

But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret is as though it had an underlying truth.

Hey if you like Tartarus sauce.. I mean if Tartarus sauce likes you..
Try not to scare away the theists, I like some of them
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. No worries about me scaring anyone off, I'm pretty benign. (until I get to drinking ) I was a believer up until a year or so ago and my pops is a preacher so I have the whole empathy thing going for me. Not that I won't call bullshit when I see it. Thanks for the welcome!
