I've been a fan since the early '70s, and disappointment is my annual lot. The fuckers will finally win a Super Bowl the year after I'm worm food. 
Seeing how the NFC North is pretty much up for grabs, the Lions could even make the playoffs.
I wouldn't advise betting on it, though.

There have been several seasons in the past 10-20 years when it seemed they were on the verge of good things that never panned out. If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
