Ed Sullivan was notorious for banning bands that wouldn't change their lyrics or didn't sing songs that he felt were better suited for his show. The Byrds, The Doors with "Light my fire", Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Bo Diddly, Rolling Stones (The "Let's spend the night together" line), and various other artists.

Oh, and just for the record
I'd do her.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

I'd happily do 97-2003 and 2009+ Britney, I'd still do the one in between, but not happily, except for bald Britney - that's be a hoot.

Just when I thought there was going to be a real discussion about censorship it turns into sex talk. It figures.
And FYI I wouldn't do Britney, I like dick.
