Christianity vs Atheism
RE: Christianity vs Atheism
They always throw out "free will" when talking about the problem of evil, as if that somehow absolves God of all the needless suffering which occurs in this world.

If I were an omnipotent deity, I'd find a way to create a world in which there was no evil.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Well I'm not entirely convinced of free will either.

Yeah I can agree on choice but not free will.

Question 1: Why do you not believe in a God
Question 2: Why do you choose to deny the existence of a God
I'll start off with that, thank you, I look forward to an interesting conversation

When you figure out why you narrowed it down to the one, you'll know why others narrowed it down to none.

Hypothesis. Hypothesis is the word you're looking for.

And I'm not taking college level physics...

Wait, don't scare him off. I want to know what's going to happen in 2016. Massive floods? Nuclear war? Jesus floating down on Pegasus' back with his Sword of Righteous Vengeance +2? What? Whaaaaat?!

1 nothing I've experienced in my life has ever given me a reason to believe in god.
And everything I have experienced has led me to believe that all beliefs of religious cults are not true.

No this is just babble, I look to Islam and Christianity and all the other cults of the earth and find that they all talk similar bullshit.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

1. There's no evidence that a god exists .
2. See 1.

Is there some specific reason as to why you choose to NOT believe in Zeus, you already acknowledge the fact that there IS a Zeus, now why is there a denial?

Zeus is a MYTHOLOGICAL Greek God, Lets restate that, MYTHOLOGICAL. Hence the fact that it is a figment of our imagination, God is NOT. You have no proof to deny the fact that there is no God, I on the other hand have the Bible, a book which has been tried to be disproved but scholars are unable to because it is historically correct and that's why atheists who do real research decide to convert to Christianity because they see the wonders that God does.

Zeus and all the other gods humans have invented are mythological but your deity isn't, even though many of their religions existed before Christianity and Judaism from which it derived?

You have no proof that there's no Zeus, or Odin or any other gods. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they don't exist.

The bible has been discredited many times. It's contradictory at best. You'll find the reality is the opposite of your claim. Studies have shown that the people who know the bible best are generally atheists followed by the Mormons.

As is the case for many people, those who study the bible thoroughly - the whole thing, not just the parts they think should apply to them - often become agnostics or atheists.
Dying to live, living to die.

Which makes me chuckle since back when I was a believer people spoke with such certainty that if you studied the bible thoroughly you'd come back a believer.

You're an idiot.

You'll most likely pass your apologist project with flying colours.
