lol. For those too lazy like me Poe's law = "Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing."

Or generally anything deemed crazy and equally as rational as a sarcastic comment about it. Very funny stuff.

Firstly, I'm not shouting. I'm merely astounded at your apparent ignorance of simple terms like "atheist" and "religion".

Secondly, my own opinion has absolutely nothing to do with it. I'm reading out definitions here...standard definitions. Buddhism is defined as a religion. Atheism isn't. Buddhism matches the requirements of a religion. Atheism doesn't. If you disagree, we can have a discussion on that, but first I'd like to see you explain what specific beliefs atheists have concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, what rituals we have, and what moral code we have.

Would love to Adrian...

right now heading out for the weekend on two wheels. Forgive me if I take some time to gather information and references.

'Definitions' I feel, is an area that is getting very plastic in this day and age.

So I will start a new thread in Atheist Discussions...(???)

Catch you there.

Tackattack.....by your other comment/support for Fr0d0...At least he can now say he's got a brother-buddy....

P.S. I read that your Religious views state, "Non-denominational Christian".....

I've ran into many people in my lifetime that stated the same farce... Luckily your fellow sheep have clear labels, which when, digging in a little deeper, you discover which sect you relate to more-so than the rest...

I'm sure some atheists justify their reasons by some degrees of science, logic or tactile perception as well, yet I don't fall it a farce. Just because think you understand where someone gets part of their beliefs from doesn't mean you see the whole. That's what being non-denominational is about... seeing the whole. It's about not squabbling over the semantics or definitions that divide us, but about embracing the core and letting each justify their own, how thy see most reasonable. Your chip is showing , why don't you take that off your shoulder and have a nice discussion.

LOL @ Samson - you are amongst a minority here that think Christians have different beliefs. We're all united under mainstream Christianity, and share the same foundation to our beliefs, as I've said many times. I'm also non denominational, my roots being Weslyan/ Salvation Army.

No chip, just pointing out the obvious...

Of course the core is virtually the same, in which, would define you as a "Christian"..., (God, Jesus, Heaven, Hell, Bible etc.) but again, when one digs a little deeper you'll see those wonderful little sects that has shown to divide....But hey, if it makes you feel better to "Label" yourself as a Non-Denomination, that's great.....

Fr0d0...You're probably correct on me being the minority on seeing the separations...It's nice to know that you believe the same as Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses as well...Tongue (Sarcasm off)

I analyze, where is the majority loops you all in as bat-shit crazy..... Smile
