Now for the meat!
What is your style of dealing with the threat of the undead in the short-term?
  1. Stealthy evasion: If they don't detect me, they can't kill me.
  2. Rapid movement: Even if they see me, I won't let them box me in.
  3. Stealthy straggler termination: The few that I encounter, I kill quick and quietly.
  4. Rapid elimination: Move quick, kill what gets in my way, don't fuck around. Time is precious.
  5. Misdirection: Grab the horde's attention - somewhere I am not.
  6. All guns blazing: Hit them with the force of a hurricane, punch through the horde, get to the objective and slaughter my way free.
  7. Blow 'em to bits: Utilize explosives or the environment to decimate large groups to thin their numbers and spread them out.
  8. Traps and tricks: Plan for the horde, use the stragglers and outliers to create obstacles and bottlenecks.
  9. Run like fuck: OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK!!

What is your long-term solution for dealing with the undead?
  1. Evasion: I constantly keep to the shadows; being near the horde is not a concern when I know how to slip past them.
  2. Group survival: Maximize number of survivors in group; every person saved is another source of productivity.
  3. Dig in and defend: Alone or with others, I make my stand here, until the day I/we die, or the day THEY all die.
  4. Keep moving: Never stay in one place, never stay static; keep movin' and scavenging. Live as long as I can.
  5. Exploitation: It's a man-eat-man world out there, and if that means taking what I want from others, by force or by subtlety, then so be it.
  6. Kill them all: Rifles, pistols, explosives, knives, improvised weapons; whatever it takes, I'll take as many of the undead down as I can before my life ends.
  7. No plan: Live for the moment, and hope to fuck my luck doesn't run out.
  8. Bullet to the head: 'S not like there's anything to live for, anyway.

What is your typical carry capacity?

  1. Bare essentials: A canteen of water, some canned food, basic tools; only what is absolutely necessary.
  2. Light: Food and water, a weapon or two, some ammunition, more advanced tools.
  3. Moderate: In it for the longer haul, I carry several weapons and/or a fairly respectable quantity of ammunition, tools, and/or general equipment.
  4. Heavy: Speed means nothing when you have the firepower, versatility, and sustainability of several platoons of troops.
  5. As much as I can carry: Whatever tools, supplies, weaponry, and equipment in general I can carry; I am the pack mule or the one-man army.
  6. Nothing: I've got nothing, I struggle to obtain just the basics, let alone find any substantial quantities of either supplies or equipment.

What is your typical mode of transportation or movement?

  1. On foot: Obstacles? What are those? May not get anywhere fast, but I can still get anywhere without worry.
  2. ATV: Quick, efficient, and capable of going where bigger vehicles can't get, though the carry capacity is limited.
  3. Motorcycle: Quicker than an ATV on the roads, and versatile; more carrying capacity, retains maneuverability...but if I get stuck, I'm fucked.
  4. Light vehicle: Sedans and sports cars, much better carrying capacity for supplies and/or fellow survivors, better speed, and can be used to ram through smaller groups, but limited in maneuverability and fuel efficiency.
  5. Medium vehicle: SUVs, pickup trucks, etc. High capacity, more durability, some offroad capability, but at the tradeoff of maneuverability and even more fuel consumption.
  6. Heavy vehicles: RVs, buses, humvees. Very high capacity, low speed and maneuverability, but can be used as a mobile weapons platform, supply wagon, obstacle remover, or even a very very big-ass bomb on wheels, at tradeoff of large fuel costs, though fuel supplies can also be easily stored.
  7. Super-heavy vehicles: Military vehicles, from APCs to tanks, if I can commandeer it, I'll juggernaut the fuck out of anything in my way, at the cost of huge fuel resources and speed and maneuverability, though with the benefit of obstacles and terrain meaning little.
  8. Whatever can be scavenged: I don't care what it is, if it drives, I'll take it.

How do you obtain your supplies?

  1. Scavenging: The PoApoc world is littered with essentials, and I know just where to find them.
  2. Jury-rigging/scrapping: One man's junk is another man's means of getting by.
  3. Theft: Those who still live have what I need, and when they aren't looking, it's mine for the taking.
  4. Raiding: Either alone or with others, it's a cruel world, and cruelty is what's needed to survive. Kill or be killed, so kill those too weak or stupid for what they've got.
  5. No idea: I'm out of my depths, and completely overwhelmed and terrified and not thinking clearly; I don't know what to do.

What resources are you most concerned with?

  1. Food and water: Can't live without them.
  2. Medical supplies: When the situation becomes much more complicated for surviving, I want to be ready for the maladies and injuries that will inevitably happen.
  3. Munitions: Guns guns guns, bullets bangs and booms: The best way to survive is to project as much lethal force as you can.
  4. Fuel: Gotta stay mobile over long ranges, and the world's enormous reserves of energy supplies are no longer being used; what is left over from the apocalypse is what I need.
  5. Sex: Men/women, I've got urges to satisfy, be it for pleasure or keeping humanity from extinction. Be they willing...or unwilling; I either respect the right to choose, or I put no value on freedom in this hellish nightmare reality.
  6. Tools and equipment: Fix it, break it, open it, lock it, trip it, bypass it, manipulate it, build it.

Gimme a fortifiable, defensible area, several crew-served weapons, some friends, and huge stockpile of ammo and supplies - we're good. Until we aren't.

1. Organizer/medic

I guess in a zombie apocalypse world, I would suddenly be quite qualified to be in charged of medicine/patching people up. (Although you probably won't even want to have me wrap a bandage for you under normal circumstances)

2. Degenerate/Victim. Not so much degenerate as in doing things like rape and murder. But I would try a lot of shit I would not usually try. End of the world and everything, right?

3. Unarmed/traps. Given enough time I'd be able to fashion traps. But otherwise, too useless to be armed.

As for my other stats, can't cook, will not be ok with pregnancy, can't run to save my life (literally), can't carry anything beyond 10kg, but can persevere like crazy. I guess I'm just extremely slow for most scenarios. I guess I'm not the type you want on a team. My only selling point is I'm great at solving problems and organizing shit, I'm well versed in human physiology, quite good with drugs, sufficiently proficient such that I could possibly (in the liberal sense of the word) find a cure to the whole zombie apocalypse thing if you got me into a lab. Also I can survive on very minimal sleep and one meal per day. Oh and I'm one of those tiny people that can climb into narrow spaces. So yea. Willing to dig holes if given the right tools. Great at repairing stuff too. (Can't drive).



Misdirection/traps. Too slow and weak to use any other method.

Motorcycle/car. Motorcycle seems to be the more logical choice, but I really really would prefer the cover a car gives. It's a psychological thing.

Scavenging/scrapping/theft. Theft i would reserve for those who I think should die for the better of the group (come on, you've all seen the movies, you know the type I'm talking about).

Food and water/tools and equipment/ammunitions. If there's cover, definitely food and water would be my first worry, but if I'm constantly on the move, then ammunitions would be a bigger concern.

I will (hopefully) be studying to be a paramedic soon, in a case of a zombie Apocalypse, the human race could be facing extinction soon, then every man, woman and child would be evermore precious.
30 calibre or similiar hunting rifle because of easily available ammo.

There's way more thought and effort going into this scenario that is probably healthy.

I regard a zombie type breakdown of society to be fairly unlikely and am consequently not prepared for it. You guys are nuts.

Not sure who it was said they can run 100 meters in 13 seconds but I can do it in about half an hour - assuming a break in the middle for a cup of tea and a cigarette.

This time can be reduced fairly significantly if there is a large breasted naked woman waiting for me at the end of the run with open arms.

On the other hand - if I just ran 100 meters to get to her she'd better be the patient kind as I will probably need a nap first.

As for the "Now for the meat" post:

The last one I'm a mixture of food/ water, medical supplies, weapons first, and then lastly: I'm out for the sex. Lots, and lots of sex. I don't care if they're willing or not, either.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

It is impossible to say how I would react or what I would do, as it always depends entirely on the situation. You don't know where you will be when it all goes to shit, so all you can do is be knowledgeable enough of a variety of situations that may help. This is why I always carry a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide with me. You may not think I am being serious on that, but I really am. Tongue
