Unborn babies have memories. Did you know that memory and experience are tied directly to your epigenome? The epigenome is the brain of your genes, in essence.
As for third world abortion policies, I'm not talking about them. My abortion stance is prochoice, regardless of my personal feelings on the matter. I trust that the law makers will take into account and define humanity accordingly.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Oh, New South Wales is the biggest state?
I'm sure my current state of residence, Western Australia, would be surprised to hear that. Guy won't even look at a map before he opens his gob, and yet we're supposed to take his positions seriously on anything else?
Population.
7.2 million versus 2.1 million.
Yep. NSW is bigger.
Sorry if I confused you into thinking that a Australia's democracy was based on how many square acres of land a person owns.

You should be sorry for using the word 'biggest' when you meant 'highest population'. Do you think Alaska is not the biggest state in the USA?

Indeed. By measure of population, Rhode Island would be 25% "bigger" than Alaska, despite having 1/500 of it's area.

look at this
Make no mistake, I am not saying I would want to live in a Buddhist state over a secular state. But if given no option for a secular state, I would perhaps pick Buddhism. I feel that it would be the most in line with humanism and less anti-science and pro-conspiracy theory than some of the alternatives.
For instance, I would also be tempted to say Pagan or Wiccan, but they also tend to be into astrology and alternative medicine. So, it is a pick your poison scenario.

THat's what I figured you meant. Though saying "most populace" probably would have resulted in no confusion.

Sorry, you can't buy a uterus. It's a thorny issue but one only those who become pregnant are entitled to resolve IMO.

I'm attacking supporters of abortion-on-demand.\
Why isn't it enough for you to make the case to the women whose decision it should be? Very few take it lightly. Approached in a respectful way they may hear you out. But why make this about force? You're entitled to your opinion. Why do you feet entitled to usurp the opinion of the person whose body is pregnant?
(December 9, 2013 at 7:02 am)Jacob(smooth) Wrote: How come men who support abortion on demand are allowed to take part in the abortion debate but when a man opposes it, suddenly it's a hands-off topic for women only?
That would be because men are not supporting abortion on demand, they are supporting the woman's right to decide if she has an abortion.
That's true for me. I find every abortion regrettable .. as I'm sure most women do who decide to get one. We have to choose the lesser of two evils all the time. I'm not prepared to make the decision against abortion in all cases any more than I am willing to take the choice out of the hands of the person who is actually pregnant.

That's called the Circular Reasoning Fallacy. You're saying all atheists are amoral people, all amoral people are atheists. Sure, Pat Robertson, Ann Coulter and Bryan Fischer are all atheists. The whole 2008 economic collapse and bank bailouts were big atheist conspiracies.

Or to fit into Sleep's worldview: The Mullah of Iran, the Taliban who shoot little girls for wanting an education, Al-Qaeda who murder thousands a year, and their ilk are all atheists, right?
