She's not really girly girly in that way. Just a professional woman with a winter and summer wardrobe and a rather poor memory for what she has already bought.
As it happens she did offload about 30 pairs shortly thereafter.
Sadly her daughter looks like being made from the same stuff. 11 and already shoe obsessed.

Collecting shoes can almost be the same as anything other collecting hobby. Some people collect purses, figurines, baseball cards, etc.
To each their own.

Those remind me of a pair of Dr Martins I had many many years ago.

Because if you want a rough duty boot that will last a long time the best way to make them is to stick your foot through the side of a cow and bolt a sole on.
Oh my FSM! These are so fucking hot! And if the dude is wearing a belt, too...
HOT!
Those boots are HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see how you'd end up with more than 100 pairs if you consistently buy good quality ones. I must've gone through about 10 pairs that didn't even last a year within the last 5 years. Now my winter boots are in its dying days. My ankle boots which I wore almost everyday last year are also pretty close to death.
I hate buying shoes. I love having new shoes, but I hate having to pay for it. Especially for something like winter boots, because I can't put it off, I'll need a new pair for the next winter. Although I'll tough it out with my old ones for this winter and wait for the sale.
I really need to stop buying cheap shoes. But to be fair I bought my winter boots before I learned that lesson, it did last 2 winters.

Most Pointless Post of 2014, but...there it is. Prince tennis sneaks. Kind of a reinforced toe, which is nice for folk like me.
