Though I am likely wrong, and you will make that clear with plenty of cussing in three minutes or so.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

How dare you come into our space and presume to speak for the contents of our minds? How dare you reinterpret our motivations to suit your childish ends without our consent? How dare you rob us of our voices and take away the one thing we have to express ourselves to you, because you don't like how we're using that?

Stop being a child. You're an adult, act like it: you don't see us cavalierly making assertions about why it is that you really believe what you do. You don't see anyone here saying the only reason you believe is because you're a coward who's afraid of death, or anything like that. That's because we know we don't have the right to tell you what you believe, any more than you have the right to tell us what we believe.

Address the issues, or be silent, but don't you ever think, for even a single second, that what you've just said is anything less than an act of intellectual aggression.

Duck,
You simply don't get the 'no evidence' bit, do you?

Well, I do not mind stating that their beliefs are based on delusion.

Nope, no bad experiences.

Pride and self-accomplishment are uninteresting concepts to me.
So...nope.

I rarely "resort" to swearing.

Which is a perfectly valid judgment of the facts. What you haven't done, there, is alter the contents of their beliefs to fit your agenda, which is what I take exception to. Wink

That's taken for granted. You think their belief is wrong, so you assume they must have been deluded into it. What Ducketto said was more like well poisoning. An equivalent claim would be:

"Christians are all indignant, self-rightous pricks. Just ignore them when they start to get all uppity about how you choose to express yourself."

Except that it is very dangerous to ignore them, unless one does not mind theism dictating his life through government.
