The iSlamic clergy (high ranking idiots) are uneducated and opportunistic (pretty much sums up iSlam) ergo they will scream racism because it gets $$ flowing their way. No other reason.

You can hold enlightened societies hostage as well by invoking the race card.
(In the UK at least) no high profile politician wants to be associated with racism. Not even an accusation of it, even if that accusation is ludicrous and unfounded.
Indeed, presuming that Islam = Brown people/arabs is itself sort of racist.

Agreed. There easily over a billion people from brown skinned races that are not Muslims. You know, like that small island called South America.

I don't think that this is racist to criticise Islam because this is not a race.
You can find them in the Arabian peninsula (Irak , Saudi Arabia , Qatar etc...) , Indonesia (first Muslim country in the word) , Russia (Chechenya , Dagestan , Tatarstan etc...).
Conclusion : Muslims have different skin color. Therefore this is not racist to criticise this religion.
In my country (France) there are a Muslim minority (Islam is the second religion after Christianity but they practice more theirs religions than Christians).
If you dare criticise the behavior of Muslims or the religion itself many people will say you that you're racist. If you dare say some truth like than the majority of people who commit crimes in France are Muslims you risk to have problems.

For cultural reasons this is more difficult to find cocktail Muslims in the Maghrebin community) who adopted Western values. This is not a problem of race nor nationality. This is a problem of religion.

Anything that will deflect the truth about Islam is justified according to Muslims.
I just heard an interesting conversation on talkradio.
The caller said his college teacher on Middle Eastern studies was saying, there is no emphasis or thought about Truth in those countries.
It is a concept that does not exist.
What does exist is the most honored people are those who are able to pull the wool over the eyes of infidels- the greatest liars are the greatest Muslims.
A Muslim fighter- Saladin made a treaty, only to break it when he was strong enough to overcome the foe.
He was following the Koran which bans agreements with infidels.
So, anything is Kosher for Islam ( the term means-submission).
Upside down is right / wrong is right.
