Sometimes an actor, not through his acting but just through what he is, fits a part in a way that transcends his abilities.

Watch the Matrix. Keanu fits the bill perfectly, and it's a movie worth seeing.

Constantine was so much better than the Matrix. I didn't really see it as religious, just mythological. It was just better story telling by far. The matrix was hella more melodramatic and preachy.

Just watched it. It wasn't horrible. But it did nothing to change my opinion of Keanu Reeves as an actor. He's a cipher, brings nothing at all to any role he's in. I can easily imagine any other actor as Neo, without affecting the quality of the film one whit.
