So why are there loads of bible versus that specifically tell you to kill certain people? Stone homosexuals, burn witches, kill atheists and the entire village you find them in, kill people who work on the sabbath. He seems to advocate a lot of killing. You might actually want to read it some day. Without skipping over the parts with: incest, slaughter of entire villages, human sacrifice (Jepthah's daughter for example), stoning, condoned abortion...

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

And, if it exists and no killing is its rule, then why didn't it come down and slap its fanclub about a little when they were slaughtering and torturing hundreds of thousands in its name.
