What you’re seeing is a 4D cube casting a 3D shadow... cool as shit!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I see a soap-bubble cube within a wire-frame cube.... cooler than shit!

I gotta try this. I wonder if I can get triangular bubbles if I have a triangular wire frame. Thinking

We have a nearby children's museum (read intellectually stimulating playground you must pay to attend) which has a whole room devoted to playing with bubbles. They have a box just like that. Also a triangle. The most fun though is the loop you can step into and then raise up until you are inside the bubble.

What I'm seeing is nature finding its energetic ground state given certain topological restrictions and constraints such as air pressure. The energy of such systems has mainly two components, coming from the surface tension which is proportional to the area, and the pressure inside closed bubbles. Also, curvature of the surface might cost some energy. The sum of these components is minimized.

In the beginning, it produces the lowest energy state in which all of the frame is covered. A new bubble is added, which is put in an artificially raised energy state by inflating it, and nature quickly realizes that it can lower its total *potential* energy by incorporating the separate bubble into the frame. The energy thus freed is first put into kinetic energy(movement of material), and when the resulting vibration is damped, into heat.
How does nature find the way to the lowest state?

That's deep shit as well!

Now, the challenge is to show whether there is a deep maths reason why this minimization condition gives us 4d projections.

No the Gilbert House Children's Museum. It's full of hands on science and/or history oriented play things.

We like OMSI but they don't have bubbles, or at least they didn't six months ago.

Reason I asked is I haven't been to OMSI in a couple of years, but if they had an interactive bubble exhibit, I'd have to rectify that.

Next time I'm down by Salem I'll have to check it out, assuming they allow middle-aged kids. Big Grin

Can somebody help me think/visualize about the 4th dimension as it applies here? Or maybe, point me to some good reading. Is the 4th dimension supposed to be thought of as directional or spatial in this context?

I can follow that '3d objects cast 2d shadows, so 4d objects cast 3d shadows', but why does this come to be a cube within a cube?

I've also seen this cube sort of undulating and inverting in a few animations, what is the significance of that? Is this meant to show the passage of time as being an added dimension?

On the "3d shadow", how is a 3d shadow different from a 3d object? Can it only be "cast" in a 4 dimensional realm, whatever that may be?

Hopefully math isn't the answer here, I don't speak that language very well.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
