How do you know that you will die in peace?
As your so called successful life come after a lot of hard work at the same time peace of mind come after a lot of hard work.
The thing that you got to understand is that success in the material-physical world is different from success in the mental-spiritual world.
You may be successful in one and fail in the other.
Peace of mind never come by having a success in the material-physical world.

I already have a peace of mind. And I know what it's like to be at peace in a poetic sense. Why are we even discussing this when I'm talking about something else ...

You got to earn it. Smile

Just as a slave has to earn his freedom from his oppressive owner?

1) Would you say.........oh, well there was no evidence that you existed that is why i never believe that you exist.
2) I was wrong in not looking at all options.
3) I never thought that by refusing to consider that you exist i could not expect that you manifest in my consciousness.

Option 1.

Depending on which god you're talking about, I'd then have a few additional choice comments to make.

p.s. Option 3 is just gibberish

Yet there you were, spending your time watching these "chicken brain" people doing their 'unimportant' (to you) things. If they are stupid and mindless, what does that make you?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Your consciousness is disturbed. When you understand this, then you will know why you are wrong. Until then, you will remain where you are.

These are not miracles.
It is rather how the karma law works.
If that baby had the right to survive and continue with his life then he had to survive while million of other babies may die.
Why are bringing up karma? I crying baby that was dropped by a nurse has nothing to do with the NDE patient's karma.

Does it make you happy that you can explain everything with karma? The death of baby, the baby was a bad person in his past life. Hiroshima, those people were did something wrong in their current or past life. Genocide, those sudan people were probably murderers in their past lives. Someone slaps you, you deserved it because karma.

You like that religion gets a lot of stuff wrong?

Quote:Not really.
Yoga works for me and for those who practice it seriously.
If yoga wouldn't work than i wouldn't agree with similar philosophy.
Nothing to do with your Geocentrism.
You have made it clear that you don't care if your beliefs are true or not. I do care. That is why I question my beliefs and accept challenges to them.

I don't follow religions.
And i don't agree with anyone who say this or that unless i personally find out that this or that is working. Cool Shades
Right. Your 'yoga spirituality' is as much of a religion as buddhism. It might not be a popular belief as buddhism, but it does come with positive claims.

When you images of something that image is your slave.
When an hypothetical God create an universe with his imagination that vision is in a way his slave so it is also correct what you say.
But the news are not that bad as they seems.
As soon as you realize that you (hypothetically) come from the mind of the supreme consciousness then you also realize that you are a transformation of God into what you think you are now.
If you use your brains properly you also would realize that the vision can RE-ENTER his mind and you are him. Smile

Thanks for your comment Stim.
You know how much i take in deep consideration your comments.
Anyway coming back to your important comment i would say 2 things.
1) Willing or unwilling i am forced to listen the crappy chatting.
2) It make me feel a bit down thinking that so many people have such a chicken brain and this boil down to the fact that many of these people are or will be in a position of command screwing the planet earth further down. Confused Fall

It make sense if you consider that karma restore the lost balance.
The yin and yang or the positive and negative are here in this universe.
You can't get rid of them or get rid of the negative side.
That is the best way of learning and progress which by the way is also the only way out this physical bondage.

Ah, yes. The No True Yogi fallacy.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

You are talking about supernatural stuff like god, spirits, etc... That is still a religion. It might not be an organized religion, but still a religion.
