To answer your first question:
It was not easy, but I got it done ;-)
I dug up my Dutch passport, quit my job and left.

And as for the second one:
That is a good question and kind of a long story, but the short version is that my old boss really wants me back.

I know. And it used to be on a daily basis. The worst thing I ever heard was during a discussion I was having with a coworker. He asked me how I would explain the FACT that men and women do not have the same number of ribs if the bible wasn't true. I burst out laughing, until I realized he was being serious. Needless to say that it did nothing for our working relationship :-)
