I have it on good authority that one of my Christmas gifts is going to be an antique Kukri. I sincerely hope it has a religious connection, like maybe it was use to kill a priest or something.

Not at all. We celebrate a completely secular Christmas. If it makes you feel better to consider it End Of The Calendar Year Gift Giving Festival, help yourself.

A lot of atheists celebrate Xmas. I certainly do. For me, it's basically Thanksgiving + presents and more decorations. It's a nice way to cap off a year, and a bit of brightness and fun in what can be a harsh New England winter. No god necessary to enjoy it or to partake.

Then you're not a true dyed in the wool atheist. You kinda conform whenever it's convenient. Kool.
