More GOP Treason

More GOP Treason
From the party that lied us into a war in Iraq,

From the party that has done everything it can since 2008 to sabotage the country,

From the party nearly destroyed America by almost defaulting on our bills as a political stunt in October 1013,

Now brings us the latest act of treason, trying to sabotage our ability to negotiate with foreign governments.

I have no words.

I've been reading about this.

Is there some sort of legal precedent that can be used to charge these idiots?

This, to me, is definitely criminal, if not bordering on treason.

Doesn't the USA contain about 300 million inhabitants? I think that's enough to capture some national traitors and hang them (unless you prefer decapitation) Wink Shades

Can the senators be tried for treason, legally?

I'm not surprised, but I am disgusted. The republicans have done everything in their power to make Obama's presidency hell, and they will continue to do everything they can to strip away any good he does after he's gone. They've done everything short of an assassination, and it's a wonder if they haven't tried that.

I don't think so. This is the law regarding treason:

Quote:prev | next
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

The Republican senators don't appear to be liable under the law. But gosh, I hope every one of the bastards who signed this is made to answer for it in the polling booth.

Having sworn an oath to defend our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic, I'm ashamed of these cunts.

This constitutes negotiating/attempting to influence a foreign government's relationship with the United States, and is a plain violation of the Logan Act, passed by our 2nd president John Adams.

That being said... Anybody think these ass-hats will even get a stern talking to?!?
