incurable/chronic/terminal illnesses

do these conditions not confirm the lack of realism that the Christian faith reflects? lol. I'm a word-smith, like you super nerds. lol but really, how the hell do these conditions exist? wouldn't a doctor have documented Christians being healed of each affliction at some point? like when all those Christians got AIDs from blood donors in the mid-80's. Wouldn't one of them been dancing a jig in the street if Christianity was real? I just see so much stupidity. A God that will and has healed the believers. My ASS. Healing is the biggest promise in the Bible.. and the whole "save from damnation" deal.

Most theists shift the goalposts. They don't think that their god will heal them directly, but that their god will send the appropriate medical staff and treatments their way as part of his "acting through agents" schtick.
They'll also point to the statistical anomalies that have had their conditions disappear/subside in a "miraculous" way as proof of their god healing people.

I believe a healing touch is documented in scripture as an irrefutable sign of sincere belief in Christ.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

This.
The number of times I've heard "god gave doctors their ability to heal so he can work through them" drives me nuts.
If he truly gave us that gift, why do we have to go through years of medical school, internships, and specialist courses?
I could have been healing people at 18 if he gave me that skill. Instead, I've turned 30 and I'm finally fully qualified for my specialty.

Jesus cannot cure podocytoma.

Apparently his followers can't heal amputees or cure people with obvious external afflictions, either.
