I'm guessing the answer is as usual: No. Or maybe even "I don't wanna!!" or something to that effect.
Pre-judging as usual I see. And I've seen you make many baseless snipes at religion lately. I guess you were talking about yourself.

If you understood you'd believe. If you didn't you wouldn't. Lack of understanding = ignorance.

Keep telling yea self that. Wink
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I asked you for your evidence for your assertion. You sidestepped my question and made the same assertion once again. And: I can't say I'm surprised you did that. At all. It looks like my 'pre-judgement' was correct. I'm only basing my judgement on my past experience with you fr0d0 Big Grin And it looks like I was right :p

No I gave a concise reply. Let me try to explain it more thoroughly:

I believe because I understand what it is I believe in. I choose to conclude what I must, based on knowledge I have.

A non believer doesn't believe because they are forced to conclude what they know, which in this case is a lack of information of the subject... ie they are ignorant of the subject.

Any clearer?

Ignorance used here isn't a slur... more an assertion of fact. Adrian acknowledged when we last talked about this that the default position on faith is ignorance. You're born not knowing/ giving intellectual assent. Personally, and I think you would agree, I think a person cannot believe against what they rationalise to be true. Hence all atheism must be ignorant of theism.

Does it hurt your knowledge when research proves that atheists know more about religion than theists do?

Anyway Hi Diamond and welcome to the forum
