Objections: The Gathering

Objections: The Gathering
In this thread, we will be gathering the objections to theism in general and Christianity in particular.  Feel free to add your own to the thread.

  1. If there's a loving God, why does this pain-wracked world groan under so much suffering and evil?
  2. If there miracles of God contradict science, then how can any rational person believe they are true?
  3. If God really created the universe, why does the persuasive evidence of science compel so many to conclude that the unguided process of evolution accounts for life?
  4. If God is morally pure, how can He sanction the slaughter of innocent children as the Old Testament says He did?
  5. If Jesus is the only way to heaven, then what about the millions of people who never heard of Him?
  6. If God cares about the people He created, how could He consign so many of them to an eternity of torture in hell just because they didn't believe the right things about Him?
  7. If God is the ultimate overseer of the Church, why has it been rife with hypocrisy and brutality through the ages?
  8. If I'm still plagued by doubts, is it still possible to be a Christian?

You left out an all of the above. Lacking that, I voted #6 since that by itself is absolutely fatal to your religion.

RE: Objections: The Gathering
There aren't really "objections" per se, just as I have no "objections" to Russell's teapot.

The point is: what is this ridiculous "god" concept y'all keep yammering about? There isn't even enough sense anywhere to really have anything proper to object to.

I'm in the position of a defense attorney where the prosecution doesn't even have an indictment, much less actually make a case for guilty plea. All the supposed apologetic arguments are just extended exercises in logical fallacies.

My only "objection" is that your arguments are completely stupid.

You just can't get away from the delusions can you? It's got such a hold on you can't stop even if you try.

I previously thought you only had delusions of fantasy (god) and grandeur (conversion or proving god). I'm adding another, the delusion of magical thinking. It's apparent that you believe the more that you continue to repeat the delusional crap over and over and over and over that at some point it will magically come true.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Lack of evidence of god. Put it on the list.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

9.  If God knows everything, why does he continue to create people whom he knows will suffer eternal damnation?

He will not because lack of evidence for god is contrary to the evidence he believes proves the existence of him.

Randy, I'm not going to call you a moron or a retarded fuck - I'll just say the problem with your previous post - You simply listed basically all arguments trying to prove god's existence, didn't explain any of them and why they are not fallacious - Then you proceeded to use bible stories and verses to prove this and that about Jesus and Christianity. You said that scholars agree with you on X or Y event, but you didn't say which scholar and why that scholar should be taken seriously. Do you understand the problem? If I did exactly the same with the religion of Islam (or Judaism) and proceeded to talk about miracles that prove Islam is the one true religion, why should my argument be taken less seriously than yours?

No evidence whatsoever for a god or any sort of supreme being.

Both this and the other thread are a complete waste of everyone's time.

RE: Objections: The Gathering
So you're hoping to just batter us into submission?

Here is my objection. You claim to have an all powerful god on your side, yet you continually fail to convince us of anything. Is that evidence that in fact you have no such thing on your side? Or is it too puny to even convince a weak minded atheist that it's anything more than in your imagination?
