Anyone with a job knows this feeling. When the boss tells you at the last second you have to stay late. Or when you start your shift you will be down a person.

So if you are going to fuck me, buy me dinner and take me out to a movie first.

Technically, you do not have to stay late.

Know your labor laws. You are only required to work the hours you were scheduled.

Technically bullshit.

The loophole is that, especially in right to work states, if they don't like your objections they can make unrelated excuses to for you and in most cases it is he said she said.

Technically does not mean owners don't work around it.

So long as you're a great worker, they're not going to go to those lengths to fire you just because you logically refuse to work past your scheduled shift.

Besides, "right to work" scenarios do not include management behaving as you suggest. If that was the case, they would not be "right to work". There are even rules they must follow to maintain their "right to work" status.
