No, no, no. I chose to believe and employ the tonylang quantum entanglement theory as I was walking up with my gun. Before I was ever in your sights. When I shot your clone it died, you died at the same time too.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I guess it depends on how you define those things, though. I'm only being practical here. You're not really nice if you're smart enough to observe the defects in everyone and judge them for it too, are you? In that instance, sure you're not. You can pretend to be nice, which is what we all do, but you're not really ever nice. All you'll ever be is catering to your own needs. Nice doesn't come into it. Nice doesn't even make sense, if you think about it. But then, a lot of things don't. Language is a castle of sand. (August 13, 2015 at 10:43 am)pool Wrote: Food is soon going to run out. Clean energy, space exploration and smarter AI would solve the problem of shortage of food, surely. Your snarky comment doesn't make any sense. I'll take it as a joke. I think you have a very strange idea of what it is to be "nice." When I have a guest in my house, I offer the person something to drink, and, usually, something to eat. Doing such things is nice. And doing such things does not entail believing my guests are perfect. In my experience, I have found that stupidity is more often linked to cruelty than intelligence is. We were merely talking about being nice. I don't see though why you see this as such an important quality that it would be one of the only three you would chose everyone to have enhanced through the means of a virus. If I were to rephrase your own wish I would put it like this: I wish there was a virus that would make everyone rational, compassionate and responsible for themselves and their societies both in the present and the future. Being nice is important because otherwise murderers and other bad people will just be made more effectively bad by improving their intelligence and reasonableness. Intelligence gives someone more possibilities, and in the case of a bad person, that is a bad thing. A bad person can fuck you over more effectively if he is intelligent than if he is too stupid to be able to figure out how to fuck you over so effectively. I mistook what you initially said. I corrected myself in the meanwhile though. But I see you still didn't get the point about niceness that I'm making. Not being nice doesn't equal being a bad person and certainly not a murderer. It's this kind of simple-minded thinking that I despise, more than anything else, sorry to say. I'll try and be reasonable with you though. Please explain to me how come you thought you told me anything new here, and why are you so fast to change the subject or misunderstand what I'm actually talking about? Please address what it is that you mean by niceness. |
