They have limited understanding of what sex is, and the weight of a decision to have sex with somone. A pre-pubescent child is also not programmed to become sexually aroused, they physically can't with the limited stage of development of their sex organs. I have a question about this statement. I wanted to get to it right after is was posted but, was unable to. You are saying that pre-pubescent child (one who has not reached puberty) or is not yet ready for sex, and can not become sexually aroused. That is sexual attraction is not present. My question then is how are individuals who say that they always felt, before puberty, that they were homosexual. What ask what do they mean it is often have said that they found them self attracted to members of the same sex. And the puberty only means that the mental and physical change of the body are occurring for conception (both boys and girl) but that attraction, (sexual attraction) is still present. Because there's more to being gay than just "sexual attraction". There's often a gender nonconfmormity to it especially present in children that can make them feel "different" from a young age. I never started to realise I was gay until I was 12, but I did always feel a bit different. And when I look back at my childhood it's just fucking obvious I'd be gay.
That's not the case for all gay people sure, but one thing that's ubiquitous for all people is that their sexual orientation is not a choice. Children are certainly aware of the concept of "romance" (helped along by Disney's "happily ever after" trope). However, their understanding of intimate relationships is rudimentary and innocent. a little girl playing as a princess fantasizing about finding her Prince is not the same as knowing about sex and having the hormones to experience sexual arousal.

So is it like trans gender that a gay person holds or has the opposite sex feeling inside? Let us take out sexual attraction as it relates to sex for second and say attraction is what pulls a person or what makes a person into another person. The fact that a girl would think of a "Prince", does that not give an indication to the sexual oration of the girl at that young of an age? she is attracted to a male. And as you say she does not know what intercourse is or what love and so on. But the basic element of attract not shows what she is straight, or gay? This might get a little confusing.Sorry. But let see how it goes. Also, I have hear, as you stated, that there is more to being gay than sex, I would agree that there is more to people than sex. But if we are to say that the sexual orientation is not the key factor that is the differences between straight or gay (which is sexual orientation) between what is the different um (no sue what to call it but, I guess characteristic, trite, or key that differs from straight and gay? What is it that key element that make's one say oh I am gay or bi? So another what is sexual orientation is not the differences between the sexual orientation then what is. Get what I am trying to say? hahhaha sorry if it is to confusing, let me know so I can try and reword it. |
