Not exactly. Introvert/extrovert is not a dichotomy, but a spectrum. Most people display characteristics of either at different times, depending on circumstances. The main reason people tend to think that you're either one or the other seems to be the continuing abuse of Meyers-Briggs test.
Personally - I tend to be withdrawn regardless of company, which I suppose puts me at the far "intro" side of the scale. The only times I turn extrovert is when I'm really, really drunk/high. And the pitiful outcomes of such situations lead me to believe, that avoiding social situations may be the "healthy" option in my case...

Definitely introvert, I enjoy spending time alone and I don't talk much to people, specially people I've just met - I generally avoid too much social interaction and enjoy being left alone. I become more extrovert with people I trust in, but that's it. My friends already know I don't talk unless I've got something important to say, so they don't bother me and force me to talk. Despite this, I successfully took a course in public speech and public debate (competitive).

I wonder if introverison-extroversion is not only a spectrum but a trait which changes over our life time.
I still seek time for solitude but I can enjoy more gregariousness more now than I would have enjoyed when I was a child or young adult.
