Dennis Leary on smoking.
I was looking for the cow thing and didn't find it.
To my recollection the gist was:
Dennis loves big greasy cheeseburgers to eat while he smokes. And he gets special beef for the burgers from cows that smoke. They have tracheotomy holes in their necks so they can smoke too.
Moo.

Hey, I did the whole quitting thing for a while, and then I realised. Shit, I don't really care. We're gonna die some day anyway, right, so why not do what you like in the meanwhile? Life is boring if you put restrictions on yourself.

I didn't quit because I am trying not to die. I quit because I was tired of feeling like shit, coughing, and spending money on it.

And all the disturbingly weird butt stuff vorlon came up with about smoking . . .

My mom smoked while pregnant with me, and all the time while my brother and I were growing up. I remember her coming into my room with a stack of freshly washed laundry and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth.Ugh, nothing was ever really clean, and kids teased me for reeking like an ashtray.
My dad now has emphysema, even though he quit at age 30, from being around the constant second hand smoke of my mom and grandmom. I suspect I will die of lung disease someday, myself. I was basically an addict from birth, so naturally started smoking in my teens. I struggled with it for years, but have been nicotine free for almost a decade now.
Congrats to both of you for quitting! It really is like being let out of prison, it is so freeing in so many ways.
Yes, we will all die someday, but I try not to actively contribute to my own slow, painful suffocation. Leonard Nemo begged his fans to quit, or never to smoke, before he left us. All hail Spock, and don't smoke, and don't fall for all this new tobacco rebranding crap.

Sure - my thing is, I don't like life-threatening illnesses and long, expensive hospital stays. I've had too many of those in recent years.

@ Aroura
My mom smoked and drank beer while pregnant with me.
(Yeah, that probably explains it hehe)
My grandparents who mostly raised me also smoked all the time.
