America wanted to test the effect of nuclear devices on pristine cities, Hiroshima and nagasaki had been spared any kind of bombing previously for that very reason.

The bombs had to be dropped when they were because the russians were just about to declare war on japan and that may have ended the war quickly before the desired test of the weapons.

The first bomb was dropped on hiroshima on the 6th of august 1945 russia declared war on japan on the 8th of august 1945 the nagaski bomb was dropped on the 9th of august 1945.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

There was a logical need then.

Although the Japanese nearly had a coup that might've prevented them from surrendering. Nice that nuclear weapons scared some sense into the Emperor.

And what is your point? It was egotistically necessary like I said.

Yes, things would also be fucked up if America didn't drop the bomb. (Things are always fucked up!) But two wrongs do not make a right.

Deduced from what egotistic premise?

There is no objective morality, and two wrongs don't make a right, so I certainly wouldn't call it moral at all. (It can't have been logical either because there is no logical premise, it is merely all based on human desires for survival, power, defence and whatnot.) It was merely a matter of ego.
