Re: the "gift from God rape": I am one of those "gifts of God", and if they're trying to stand up for me, I reject their gesture and that term. It just so happened my mother chose to bring me to term, we bonded well, she loves me too much if anything, and I'm far from a sociopath or violent criminal, however we were lucky in that respect. It very often doesn't work out that way and many people wish their mother who didn't want them had just aborted them when she had the chance. Now sometimes I'm happy to be alive and sometimes I'm not, but the fact is if I had *never* been a conscious, thinking person, I would never have been around to regret not being so, so it really wouldn't matter if she had aborted me.

One of the reasons I intend to never have children is that I wouldn't want to risk passing on any sociopathic genes that it seems very likely am carrying recessively. Same with various diseases, they can skip several or many generations, but sooner or later they express themselves again. Liberal abortion laws help keep miserable, unwanted children raised by unfit parents or social services to a minimum, and they help prevent the spread of sociopathic genes from rapist fathers.
