How Can I Remove Bubbles from Weed?

How Can I Remove Bubbles from Weed?
I have a desk made of oak particle board. I like to drink water while I'm on my computer. Unfortunately, that water sometimes spills and leaves ghastly bubbles/pimples on the desk. I know this is from the water causing the wood to swell, but is there a way to remove this and make the surface smooth again?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

what does that have to do with weed?

At first thought, the particle board is a mixture of wood particles (duh) and glue.  I'm guessing the moisture wets the glue, swells the wood, and sets the bumps when the glue dries again... maybe... IDFK.  In that case, it would have to get wet and be allowed to dry in a press squeezing it flat.

That's my guess and I'm sticking to it.

It's called a coaster.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Maybe that's what the weed has to do with it! Making you thirsty and making you forget the coaster!

Stop inviting her over to smoke. Sounds like she's kind of a ditz anyway.

Remove bubbles from weed? Give up the bong and use a pipe or vape.

No real easy fix matey.
If it was me and I just had to fix it I would sand the whole top and relacquer.
A good quality marine grade clear lacquer will actually make it waterproof.
Maybe not fizzy drink proof or coffee proof though.

Lol Rhonda I was going to recommend renaming this thread "Ask Cthulhu Anything..."

As far as the wood, if it's near the edge of the table, try using a C-Clamp and a couple of blocks of wood, trying to flatten the spot down.

After you get it flattened as much as you can, you'll have to sand the whole piece down, then re-finish it.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
