General note: It is possible to look up "strawman fallacy" so as to not commit this particular bit of stupidity in the future.

Not that I have my hopes up, of course.

But yet you don't comment on Minimalists escalating of the situation. Okay, you can go fuck yourself as well.

Nope. because Miminalist didn't attribute a strawman fallacy to me. You did. Now grow up and own your mistakes.

This is my opinion on guns:

To paraphrase and sum up this entire debate from what Jim said:
Once Australia got rid of guns, the bad guys had little to no access to guns either. People are so afraid of "What happens if they get guns". Well, someone who wants to buy a gun in australia isn't going to be stopped by you if you have a gun, that's for sure. Do you know how much a gun costs on the BlackMarket after guns were outlawed? $34,000 for a pistol. Now, some 12 year old who can't handle a gun but wants one to do something terrible, not only doesn't have access, or the money, but even then do you think he's just gonna walk up to people selling guns on the blackmarket and say "Why hello there chap, i'd like to purchase me self one of those there guns you got!".
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

There is God and there is man, it's only a matter of who created whom

The more questions you ask, the more you realize that disagreement is inevitable, and communication of this disagreement, irrelevant.

Jim Jeffries is a great comedian.  I don't think I'd take gun policy advice or debate rhetoric from him though.

34k for a pistol eh, that's about what an assault rifle will cost you over here...and they're not even banned.  Wish that situation was reversed, lol.  Twelve year old's buying black market guns isn't a problem we have in the states, and it's already a crime -felony or misdemeanor depending, just to improperly -store- a firearm around children or where children can access them. 12 year olds -don't- have the money to buy guns, even here...even if they could, which they can't....no matter what it is they wish to do with them or how well they can handle them.

I hadn't seen the second half of Jim's gun rant, that was awesome.

Good jokes, sure..points...not so much.  Not knocking it for what it is, only concerned for what it's not. If the good points of a gun policy debate come from jim jeffries we have a bigger problem than gun policy.
